Shipping policy

Last updated: 24 October 2026

The Automation House is an online shop run by Arran Group Limited. To get your order to you quickly, it is delivered directly to you by our supplier, the manufacturer's UK distribution centre in England, rather than from our own premises. This policy explains where we deliver, how long it takes and what it costs.

1. Where we deliver

We currently deliver to addresses in Great Britain only (England, Scotland and Wales, including the Scottish Highlands and islands). We do not yet deliver to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, British Forces (BFPO) addresses or outside the UK. If you need delivery elsewhere, please contact us before ordering.

2. Delivery charges

We offer one delivery service, Standard delivery, priced by the value of your order (prices include VAT):

  • Orders up to £199.99: £29.95
  • Orders from £200.00 to £499.99: £10.95
  • Orders of £500.00 or more: free

The same charges apply everywhere we deliver, including the Scottish Highlands and islands; there is no surcharge for these areas. The delivery charge is shown at checkout before you pay.

3. How your order is fulfilled

  • When you place your order, we check it and pass it to our supplier, normally on the same working day if you order before 12 noon, otherwise on the next working day.
  • Our supplier normally dispatches in-stock items on the day it receives our order, or the next working day.
  • Your parcel will arrive in the manufacturer's original packaging. The outer carton and delivery label may show our supplier's name and address rather than ours. Your invoice and order confirmation come from us by email.
  • If not every item is in stock, your order may arrive in more than one delivery. We will tell you if any item has a longer lead time, and you may cancel any item that has not yet been dispatched.

4. Delivery times

  • Mainland Great Britain: normally 1 to 3 working days from the date we confirm your order.
  • Scottish Highlands, Scottish islands, Isles of Scilly and other outlying areas: normally 2 to 5 working days.
  • Items not in stock: we will tell you the expected lead time on the product page, at checkout or by email.

Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. If we fail to deliver a consumer order within 30 days, or by any date we have agreed as essential, you may cancel and receive a full refund.

5. Couriers and tracking

Orders are normally delivered by UPS. We will email you tracking details once your order has been dispatched. Some deliveries may need a signature. Pallet deliveries may require someone to be present and access suitable for a pallet vehicle.

6. Failed deliveries

Please make sure your delivery address is correct and complete. If a delivery fails because nobody is available, the courier will normally try again or leave the parcel at a collection point. If goods are returned to our supplier because of an incorrect address or repeated failed deliveries, we may charge the cost of redelivery.

7. Damaged or missing items

Please check your goods on arrival. If anything is damaged or missing, tell us as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours of delivery, by emailing pj@theautomationhouse.co.uk with your order number and photos of the packaging and any damage. Please keep the packaging until we have dealt with your report. Reporting quickly lets us claim from the courier and send replacements without delay. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Risk and ownership

For consumers, the goods are at our risk until they are delivered to you or someone you nominate. For business customers, risk passes on delivery to the delivery address. Ownership passes to you once we have received payment in full. See our Terms of Service for full details.

9. Contact

All delivery questions should come to us, not to our supplier or the courier: email pj@theautomationhouse.co.uk.
