Overview
A gust of wind catches the terrace awning at a hotel while nobody is outside. External blinds at home stay down during a storm because everyone is at work. In a care home, the south-facing lounge overheats on sunny afternoons while the blinds wait for someone to lower them. Weather changes faster than people can react.
The Loxone Weather Station Tree gives the Miniserver live weather data measured at the building itself. Wind speed, brightness, rainfall and outdoor temperature are recorded on site, so the building can respond to the actual conditions outside.
What it does
Blinds and awnings can be retracted automatically in strong wind, motorised windows can be closed when it starts to rain, and shading can respond to real sunlight rather than a fixed timetable. The rain sensor has integrated heating, and the IP44 housing is made for outdoor mounting.
Central management, cost and comfort
- Protection: blinds, awnings and windows are safeguarded even when nobody is there.
- Comfort: shading that follows the sun helps keep rooms pleasant on bright days.
- One system: weather data is available to lighting, shading and heating logic in the same Miniserver.
- Weather service included: a 10-year Loxone Weather Service subscription comes with the station.
Good to know
The station connects to a Miniserver or Tree Extension via the Loxone Tree bus, which carries both power and data, so a cable run to the mounting position is needed. A combined wall and mast bracket is included.
You can order it here. If you prefer, The Automation House can also advise on it, plan it and supply it as part of a complete solution, with installation and aftercare arranged through our installation partner.

Pros & cons
Our view on this product
What we like
- One device instead of several sensors
- The heated rain sensor avoids false readings from condensation and dries quickly after rain
Worth knowing
- Wired: needs a Tree cable outdoors
- Needs a free position on a mast or wall, ideally about 1.5 m above the roof (bracket included)
- Not suitable near the coast: salty air can corrode the rain sensor
