Overview

Keys that are lost, copied or never returned. A carer starting an early shift who needs to get in without waking anyone. A hotel guest arriving after reception has closed, or a cleaner who only needs access on Tuesday mornings. Managing physical keys for all of these people quickly becomes a job in itself.

The Loxone NFC Code Touch is a keyless entry keypad with a glass front and a built-in NFC reader. People get in with a personal code or an NFC card, tag or key fob, and access rights are managed in the Loxone app.

What it does

Every person gets a code of their own, and codes can be limited to certain times or set up for one-time use by visitors, contractors or guests. Rights can be added, changed or withdrawn centrally, and the app shows a history of which codes and tags were used. A tag and a code can be combined for two-step authentication, and after repeated wrong attempts the keypad locks for two minutes.

It can be combined with the Loxone Intercom (sold separately) at an entrance, and beyond doors it can also be used for lockers, billing or working-time recording. The keypad gives the signal to open; the door itself needs an electric lock or strike, which is not included.

Good to know

Tree or Air: Tree is wired and permanently lit; Air can also run on two AAA batteries, but then the keypad lights up only when touched and must be woken before a tag is read.

Loxone recommends the Tree version when it is combined with the Intercom, and its own encrypted NFC tags for access control. It is rated IP44 for sheltered outdoor entrances. The Anthracite version must not be mounted in direct sunlight; the white versions may be. The Tree version, and the Air version on a DC supply, are wired by a qualified electrician, which our installation partner can arrange. Available in Signal White, Velvet White and Anthracite.

You can order it here. If you prefer, The Automation House can also advise on it, plan it and supply it as part of a complete solution, with installation and aftercare arranged through our installation partner.

  • Personal, time-limited and one-time codes for staff, guests and contractors
  • Access rights managed centrally, with a usage history in the app
  • IP44 for sheltered outdoor use

Worth knowing

  • On batteries, the Air version has no permanent keypad lighting and must be woken before reading a tag

  • Opening a door also needs an electric lock or strike, which is not included
  • For secure access Loxone recommends its own encrypted tags; other NFC cards only work by their fixed ID
