It is the home automation hub and central controller of a wired Loxone installation and runs the logic for lighting, heating, shading, security and energy in one place, so the building behaves as one system rather than a collection of separate ones.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eHow the Miniserver works\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Miniserver is mounted on a DIN rail in a distribution board. Switches, sensors and actuators connect to it, either directly to its inputs and relay outputs or via the Loxone Tree bus. The automation runs on the Miniserver itself, and building data is processed locally rather than stored in the cloud.
